Description

Overview:

Does God care about our work? How can I bring glory to God in a ‘dead end’ job? Can Mondays ‘feel’ as worshipful as Sundays?

Think about this: if you work 40 hours a week for 40 years, then you’ll put in over 80,000 hours at a job during your lifetime (and, if you go to college, then Kindergarten to College is another 15,000 hours preparing to work! And then there’s commuting).

Wouldn’t you like to know how to worship God with those 80,000 hours?

The Gospel at Work conference was born out of a desire to help Christians think and live differently in the workplace. Our goals for the conference are:

  • to help Christians think biblically and theologically about their work,

  • to provide practical and pastoral wisdom on how to navigate the many workplace challenges arising from our secular culture;

  • to hold up examples of godly men and women who can be role models and guides for others;

  • and finally, to connect Christians in similar industries to encourage one another and to strategize together for evangelism.

In addition to the main sessions, there are a series of very practical breakouts on topics like career planning as Christians, leading in the workplace, money as a motivator, and working for "difficult" bosses.

We encourage anyone who wrestles with their work to come for the teaching, encouragement, and fellowship. And we certainly encourage pastors to consider attending in order to think through how to better equip their people to faithfully represent Christ in their day-to-day work.
